Tax Litigation Lawyer Focused on Complex Tax Disputes
Inès Khalfi is a tax litigation lawyer whose practice focuses on disputes between taxpayers and tax authorities. She advises and represents individuals and corporations in matters involving tax audits, contested assessments, negotiations with tax authorities, and litigation. Her practice encompasses a broad range of issues, including tax penalties, shareholder benefits, anti-avoidance rules, and tax compliance.
Before joining Elysium Legal, Inès practised at a leading law firm, where she worked on tax litigation matters as well as public and constitutional law cases. During her studies, she gained litigation experience at a national law firm and served as a research assistant at the Université de Montréal through the Accès au droit et à la justice (ADAJ) research initiative. These experiences allowed her to develop a strong foundation in civil and administrative procedure, statutory interpretation, and judicial review.
Inès earned her law degree magna cum laude from the Université de Montréal and is currently completing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation at HEC Montréal. Deeply interested in the development and interpretation of tax law, she is known for her analytical rigour, strong legal research skills, and ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and effectively. She approaches tax disputes strategically and meticulously, with a strong focus on protecting her clients’ interests.
